The business of debt collection has proven very lucrative over time. With the American economy the way it is, a great many American citizens have found themselves in debt over the past several years. The problem with the debt collection industry is that many debtors believe that collectors are all about receiving monies from successful recoveries. They truly believe that creditors and their representatives will stop at nothing to garner payment.

The amounts of news stories that read about the negatives of debt collecting seem so commonplace nowadays. I click on Google News and when I search for a story to write about, I can’t help but encounter articles about debt collectors targeting students or those about false debts being issued to innocent people. Interesting to read, of course, but what about the more uplifting stories about this line of work? If I were the one in charge of a collection agency, I don’t believe it’d be terribly hard to avoid indecencies.
Graduation is fast approaching, what most students are thinking about is; what will I do when I go out in the world? Will I be able to find a position in my chosen career? And, how will I pay off my student loans? When I was watch 20/20 with my folks, we saw a girl who owes over $100,000 in student loans. This sort of situation would scare anyone when debt collection agencies come by.
Everyone knows how big of a problem debt is in the United States. The overall debt in the United States is massive. It is over $15,000,000,000,000. Yes, that is a ridiculous number. It’s growing rapidly and won’t get any lower any time soon. When you think of that number there are a variety of debts you think of including credit card debt, auto loan debt and student loan debt. However something that a commercial collection agency strives on is the bankruptcy of businesses.
When it comes to knowing what it’s like being broke I’m your man. Far beyond the help of any debt recovery service I really needed a future plan to find myself a way out of this hole that I’ve dug. I know what it’s like to open the fridge to see no light come on and no food to eat. I know what it’s like to live in the same three dirty shirts for a week until you can afford the few extra quarters to go to the Laundromat.
